Want to make nurturing your family a priority in 2016?
You care deeply about your family. That’s a given. In fact, you spend lots of time doing things with them and for them. Yet one of the biggest challenges and complaints I hear from parents is not having or making time for themselves. Sound familiar?
Are you so busy that you seldom – or never – take time for you? Some parents I talk with think this would mean they’re being selfish.
Yet I can promise you that taking time for yourself is one of the most important gifts you can give your family.
I know this sounds counter-intuitive – most of us were raised to take care of others and not ourselves – yet let’s think about it a minute.
You are one of the most important people in your family’s life. Because they love you, they deeply want you to be happy. Also, being able to give your family your best means it is essential that you take excellent care of yourself.
Taking good care of yourself nurtures your family. So does pausing and reflecting, listening to yourself,. What really matters to you now? What’s happening in your family? Where are the difficulties, the challenges and what can you do about them?
This is why I created my Nurture Your Family Retreat.
- To give you a structured, supportive time to answer these questions for yourself.
- To listen honestly to yourself.
- To reflect on everyone in your family and o understand what they need and want more deeply.
- Connect and share with other parents who experience similar life experiences as you.
If this calls to you, I’d love to have you join us. The 5th annual Nurture Your Family Retreat, will help you:
- Clarify your most important priorities for the coming year
- Make more conscious and aware parenting choices when you interact with your child and partner
- Reduce your stress by choosing when and how to best use your valuable time and energy to focus on what matters most
